Registration

Registrations for the New England Show 2008 are being accepted. Kennels are limited to entering a total of 12 gerbils in the show, with no more than 3 of any one color. Gerbils may be shown only by AGS members whose membership is (a) current and (b) started no later than 30 days in advance of the show. All gerbils must first have an AGS registration number. Pup Class

Animals born between February 17, 2008 and April 5, 2008 inclusive are eligible for Juvenile (Pup) class for this show.

Senior Class

Animals born on or before November 17, 2005 are eligible for the senior class.

Quarantine Requirements

All show participants must adhere to our strict quarantine and health standards. Please read the Health page carefully before registering your gerbils.

Travelling with Gerbils

If you will be travelling any distance with your gerbils, please read our advice regarding travelling with gerbils before you plan your trip.

Can Someone Else Show My Gerbils For Me?

Members may show up to three gerbils without attending the show themselves. You should only show a gerbil that (a) has previous show points and is working toward a championship, or (b) will be shown in a class or category in which you currently have points and in which you are working toward a Breeder’s certificate. All gerbils being shown in absentia must be pre-registered and paid in advance. Please read the detailed instructions about Showing Unaccompanied Gerbils before you make your plans.

Animals for Sale or Adoption

AGS members may bring animals for sale or adoption to the show if they meet the following conditions:

• membership must have been completed at least 30 days in advance of the show;
• all quarantine requirements are met;
• all animals, including show, sale and adoptable animals, must pass health inspection
• animals are suitably housed and not overcrowded;
