The NE Show Page has been updated with new information about the schedule and events for the day of the show, Saturday, May 20. We are recruiting volunteers for the many fun events we have planned. We have a great location and are hoping for a big turnout. Please check out the Show Pages and sign up! Early registration is recommended.

At the Midwest Show in Missouri, on Oct 15 2005, certificates were given out to Tana Lyman of The Little Rascals Kennel in Missouri, and Donna Anastasi of ABC Gerbils in New Hampshire for their gerbils who reached Champion status during the 2004 Show season. Awesome, a mottled black male, bred by Gary of Gary’s Gerbils in NY, and later owned and shown by Donna, was awarded the first Championship in AGS History given to a gerbil who reaches 9 points under at least 2 different judges while attending at least 2 different shows. Patience, a siamese female, bred and shown by Tana, was the second gerbil in AGS History to reach Championship status. The first breeder’s certificate was also awarded to Jo of the Black Wolf Clan out of KY / MO for accumulating up to at least 15 pts by the end of the 2004 Show season for a breeder’s certificate in Mottled.

We are currently working a new Judges Training curriculum. This will be a great program that will assist in training our probationary judges. The PowerPoint presentations are complete with in depth descriptions, graphics, and pictures. There will also be a small booklet that will assist probationary judges at shows.

We are setting up a Judges Training session for March. Our priority will be members that will be attending the NE Show, and would like to work as probationary judges there. If you are interested in participating please email me at: jmorrow@agsgerbils.org
