About the Expo

World of Pets Expo attracts over 10,000 visitors annually to its three-day event north of Baltimore, MD. The AGS will have a large booth within the Expo to hold our show and other educational exhibits. This offers us a wonderful opportunity to expose our hobby to the animal-loving public.

Show Hours:

Friday 2-8 pm
Saturday 9 am - 7 pm

Dates to keep in mind:

Quarantine will start four weeks before the show, on January 1, 2012.
Pup class will include animals 6 weeks to 3 months old on the day of the show, so born between October 28 and December 17, 2011 .
Your show registrations will be needed by Friday, January 13, 2012 by the latest. Please organize your *gerbil* registrations as soon as possible and begin sending them in to the Show Secretary so that there's plenty of time to get ID numbers for all your show animals. Remember that you need to register parents before you can register children.
Participants and family members who volunteer to help will either need show badges (provided free by the World of Pets) or will need to pay the daily admission rate. Email midatlcoordinator@agsgerbils.org with information about how many passes you will need.

Friday, January 28^rd
2:30 pm	World Of Pets Opening Ceremonies
2:00-8:00 pm	Informational exhibits Booth volunteers: 5 pm-close: TBD Health inspections for early arrivals.
Saturday, January 29^th
am	Exhibit hall opens.
8-11 am	Health inspections
11am	Judges' meeting and lunch.
11am	Show Call: All gerbils who will compete in the show should be placed on the judging tables. (Please check the Show Rules & Regulations page ahead of time to make sure that your gerbils have the proper size of show carrier. Also, remember to provide each gerbil in the show with a source of moisture/water, such as a piece of carrot or a grape.)
11am to 4pm	Judging - exhibition format Meeting & greeting visitors. AGS Merchandise Table & raffles HamTrack / Gerbil Olympics events
4pm to 5:00pm	Best in Show decision & announcement. Group photo
Approx. 5 pm to 7:00pm	End of Day announcements Booth Breakdown, Animal Checkout AGS Dinner - 7:30 PM - TBD
