A mature, bulky male with a very nice mottled pattern, thick tail, and soft looking coat. A beautiful animal with a sweet, patient expression.

Best of Opposite Sex
This girl still has some growing up to do, but is maturing into a lovely animal with a nice head, feminine but strong body, and good tail. She is lightly mottled with nice markings.

Mottled Golden Agouti | Male

2nd Place
This is a beautiful, mature male in his prime. His bulk actually shows better in the front view size and muscle mass can be harder to tell when a gerbil is standing up and stretched out.

Third Place
This is a striking gerbil with many beautiful features. His mottling is very pleasing in the symmetry and black, white contrast. He has a great body type and head and a magnificent tail tuft. The tail may be a tad long make sure he holds it straight in the photo.

Mottled Black | Male

Honorable Mention
Nice shiny coat, beautiful markings and a fantastic tail tuft. Perhaps due to the position of the gerbil, he appears to be a slight dip in the neck and could use more mass in the neck/chest area. I'd like to see him in person to get be able to better judge his body type.

Mottled Black | Male

A nice looking boy with beautiful markings. He could use some size/maturity and it looks like he might have friend(s) nibbling at his tail tuft.

RWG Lisa |
Mottled Burmese | Female
| 8 months | Owner - Rebecca W.
The angle of this gerbil in the side view makes her hard to see. Specifically, judges will look at the back (for a dip in the neck) and the hindquarters (for a weak rear), neither are shown clearly here. This is too bad, because from what can be seen, she is a beautiful, fully mature female with nice mottling/markings.

PP's Pei Mei |
Mottled Burmese | Male

I would have liked to get a better look at this gerbil. It is hard to see his spotting pattern and a gerbil standing up is hard to judge on bulk. Appears to have rich Burmese coloring, and a nice head, body type, and tail.

CNC's Buzz's Hum |
Mottled Black | Female
| 3 months | Owner - Katie A.
This female still looks quite young, but she's really coming along nicely. Her mottling is quite striking, and her fur is well-prepared for show. Very nice! She has a nice shape to her face, but her eyes may be more round than almond-shaped. This girl shows real promise, and I'd love to see her again when she's matured a bit more.
