ABC's Ace of Hearts |
Red Fox | Male
| 7 months | Owner - Donna A.
Best In Class
Wow! What a gorgeous male! He has a spectacular masculine build and a
very nice, shiny brilliant coat. He also has nicely shaped and furred
ears. His eyes may be just a little too round, but it could be the
angle of the photo (taken from above and at a slight angle, which
could obscure the almond shape most visible from a profile view). It
looks like he has a good tuft, although it could be a little more
full. Overall, though, this is a spectacular gerbil. I hope to have
an opportunity to judge him in person sometime!

HHH BWC's “Ice Princess” |
Black-Eyed White | Female
| 7 months | Owner - Janice B.
Best of Opposite Sex
This female has a very nice face that is well set into her body. Her
tail is a good length for her body, but it is hard for me to get a
good look at the width of the tail and the fullness of the tuft from
the photo. Her neck may have a slight dip, but it could just be the
angle of the photo. Her ears are nicely shaped, and although it's
hard to tell from the first photo, in the second photo, it appears
that she has a nice, feminine build.

Black | Male
| 2 years, 8 months | Owner - Tracy K.
2nd Place
Wow, this is a beautiful male. What I noticed right away was his
nice, glossy black coat. His fur looks very soft and healthy. He may
have a bit of a bend in his tail, although it could just be the way
that his tail is lying against the towel. He has very full, healthy
whiskers, with none broken or bent. He may have a couple of stray
white hairs on the side of his face, but it appears that he has only
a very small amount of white under his nose, which is excellent.

Third Place
Although it's hard to tell from this angle, it looks like this male
has a good, sturdy build. I really like his full whiskers that are
visible in the second photo. His tail looks like it might be a little
short. This gerbil looks well-prepared for show with a nice, soft,
glossy coat.

HHG's Zoey |
Slate | Female
| 6 months | Owner - Diane N.
This gerbil has lovely slate coloring and nice, almond-shaped eyes. I
also like her full set of whiskers. It looks like she might carry her
tail just a little bit crooked, and I wish I could get a better view
of her tuft in these photos. However, she looks like a very healthy,
active, and curious gerbil, and I like how there is only a very small
amount of white on her chin and none on her paws or chest.

Mushroom Sorbet |
Nutmeg | Male
| 7 months | Owner - Naomi A.
This looks like a very young male who is still growing. He has nicely-
shaped ears and is developing a lot of nice ticking. I would love to
see this boy again when he's a little bit older and has matured a bit!

Cleo |
Dove | Female
| 10 months | Owner - Hanna N.
It's a little bit hard to judge this gerbil's coloring from these
photos, because in the first photo, she looks dark enough to be a
lilac, whereas in the second photo, she has a more typical dove
coloring. I don't see any signs off white in her coat, which is
perfect for a self gerbil. She looks like she has soft fur that would
really shine with a good sand or dust bath.

SB's Lady Ashlan |
Nutmeg | Female
| 4 months | Owner - Christine S.
This gerbil has some very nice traits. She has beautiful nutmeg
coloring, and her tail, especially the tuft, is very impressive. It's
nice to see such a full, fluffy tuft. She also has nicely shaped
eyes. It is difficult to get a good look at her overall shape and
build in these photographs, so it would be nice to see this gerbil in
person at a live show. She looks in both photos like she has a dip in
her neck, but some of it may be the way that she is standing.

Hektor of Zarposz |
Silver Nutmeg | Male
| 5 months | Owner - Judit C.
This looks like a very young male who could show real promise after
he matures. He has a nice, full tuft and very nicely shaped eyes. His
coat is starting to develop nicely, and I would to see him again when
he's a little older!

HHH BWC's “Winter Prophecy” |
Silver Nutmeg | Male
| 4 months | Owner - Janice B.
Although the photos have a bit of a color cast, it looks like this
silver nutmeg has nice coloring. He has a nice face, too. It may be
the way he is posed, but it looks like there is a dip in his neck.
His coat looks very soft and healthy.

GEG's Newman |
Nutmeg | Male
| 3 months | Owner - Kelly J.
I love this nutmeg's coloring. His golden undercoat is clearly
visible, yet he has a good, full set of dark ticking throughout his
coat. He has quite a bit of white on his chin, front paws, and chest,
though. He has very nice eyes and a nicely-shaped face as well. He
also has a very nice tuft, although it looks like his tail might
taper a bit before the tuft. It would be better if the tail were the
same thickness throughout its entire length. He looks like he is
still fairly young. If so, I could be interested to see him again
once he's matured a bit more!
