Best In Class

This is a gorgeous male with nice coat, color, eyes, tail, tuft, build, and bulk and very well prepared for the show. His belly is sparkling white with no signs of staining. He has beautiful whiskers, too.

Best of Opposite Sex

This is a nice petite female with lovely-shaped eyes. Her whiskers are difficult to see in this picture. She has a very pretty color. In the side photo she looks to have the tiniest bit of a dip in the back.

2nd Place

Another beautiful male with a great masculine build, nice color, great tail and tuft. He has pretty eyes that are deep ruby and an excellent head. It looks like he has a good body type, but it would be easier to get a good look at this gerbil's build if he were standing on all four legs. That gives judges a better view of and appreciation for a gerbil's size and build.

3rd Place

This is a HUGE beautiful male with nice color, an excellent head and lots of bulk. Though the tail is nice, I'd like to see it even thicker, with a fuller tuft to match his body size.

Honorable Mention

I love this female. A real wow gerbil. Coloring, tail, tuft, and build are good. The camera angle is hurting her, though, since it is not a side view and makes her look more stocky than she likely is. Her hind end cannot be evaluated due to the angle.

This is a pretty girl with nice eyes and a ridge of black on her tail as called for by the grey agouti show standards. Her eyes have a nice shape. She appears to have two molt lines on her rear and separated fur on her neck which are faults. Maybe a view where she's not standing up would show conformation better.

This male looks very soft and cuddly. He could use some more bulk and appears to have a somewhat pointed nose. I'd like to see a bit thicker tail. His coloring (best seen in the side view) is just beautiful.

He is a nice looking boy with good coloring. Beautiful head and face with alert, friendly look. He looks more mature in the front view. I would like to see this gerbil in person, especially as he hits his prime.

Amazing tail and tuft with beautiful coloring except for some white hairs on the thigh area. This gerbil appears to have a dip in the back of the neck though.

Nice coloring and deep ruby eyes. This male still needs to mature into a more masculine build including a stronger rear.

This male has beautiful gold coloring and nice eyes. He could use some more bulk. His tail looks short in the side photo but that could very well be due to the angle. His tail is not held straight.

This looks like a sweet, active girl. The top and tail coloring is a beautiful rich honey, but she has too much white on the side. Her tail does not look like it is held straight and she appears to have a dip in neck.

Amazing color on this gerbil with deep ruby eyes. He is developing nicely and has a good body type and head. This guy would show better when he matures and has some more bulk. Make sure to include the tail tuft in the photo.

This girl has nice coloring and tail tuft, but appears to have a bit of a pointed nose in these photos. Her tail looks like it may be a tad long. Both may improve with maturity.

This male has beautiful coloring with gold color throughout. He has very nice eyes, good body type, and a nice straight tail. His nose looks a bit long and he appears to have some molt lines. I'd love to see a photo of him in better lighting. . . or better yet, look at him in person!

This male has a beautiful build with soft-looking fur. He has beautiful whiskers and a nice thick tail and tuft. His color is too light for a DEH and lacks the dark ticking required. His color may be washed out from a camera flash.
