My gerbil was really cold yesterday and was really hard to wake at noonish, he fell asleap on me which he never does and didn't protest or run away when I picked him up. He was really inactive. I read in a book that those were symptoms of hypothermia. I think he was out at like 7 decrees C by himself. I put him in the cage by the radiator with his cage-mate and added bedding. Later he was eating his favourite pellats out of the food bowl, buut still looked tired and unactive. We left them both in the cage this morning, and didn't see them till 12, and took them put in a room. He was very sleapy still and not as active as usual, and kept standing still for longer than usual. Was this because he was tired and they should have been asleap or is he ill? Please help

He is still alive, tyzzer's kills after 48 hours and it has been longer. I wouldn't take him to the vet, small animals often die of stress from going to the vets. He is doing more normal activities live digging and chewing and is bouncier. Thanks for your help!
Diarrhea isn't a good sign. I'd make sure he has access to water. It may or may not be Tyzzer's. A vet would have to diagnose the cause. Again, I'm sorry he isn't feeling well.
Today he was much better, we usually keep them in a balcony, since we live in spain and it is quite hot and we take them in at night, we had them outside for an hour. He was much more active though spent more time sitting still than usual. He is eating lots but takes ages, my father thinks he might have had a stroke, but seems better now. Thanks!
Sorry to hear he isn't feeling well. Putting him in a warmer spot was a good idea, as long as there's a spot in the cage that's cooler, in case they feel too warm. Dehydration could also make him cooler and less active. If he's still not himself, he should probably see a vet.
